Honoring antislavery abolitionists
Honoring antislavery abolitionists, their work to end slavery and the legacy of that struggle, the National Abolition Hall of Fame and Museum is situated in the Smithfield Community Center, the site of the 1835 inaugural meeting of the New York State Anti-Slavery Society.
The site has a video production of that event as well as informational banners on each of the abolition inductees to its Hall of Fame.
