Just 5.1 miles outside of Center City Rochester, Irondequoit is considered a 'part' of the Larger city. This vibrant waterside community features breathtaking lake, river and bay views.


Bordering three major waterways – Lake Ontario, Irondequoit Bay and the Genesee River – Irondequoit is a go-to spot for water-related fun, from the usual sailing, boating, and fishing to Great Lake surfing, wind-surfing, kayaking, para-surfing and ice-fishing.
 



Take a relaxing drive or walk along the town’s tree-lined neighborhoods, have a picnic at one of its scenic parks and recreation facilities, enjoy its active arts and music scene or visit its unique attractions like Seabreeze Amusement Park, Hot Dog Row, the House of Guitars, and the country’s oldest miniature golf course – Whispering Pines. The historic Town Hall complex includes the 1830s-era Pioneer House Museum and Blacksmith Shop.
