This 577-acre park is ideal for hiking and bird watching as well as cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in winter. It also has one of only two legal off-leash Dog Parks in the Monroe County Park system. The park features four main trails all less than a mile in length over mostly level terrain.

The park's Deer Trail offers an easy 1.4 mile walk over gently rolling terrain with an observation point. Listen to green frogs, redwing blackbirds, woodpeckers, kingfishers and other birds at the beautiful pond located along the southern edge of the trail. The Canal Trail is an easy .9 mile walk over gently rolling terrain. A highlight of this walk is the portion of the trail that follows along the Erie Canal.

The park also has a softball diamond, soccer field, tennis/pickleball courts, two playgrounds and a youth camping area. Other amenities include handicap accessible restrooms along with lodges and shelters to rent.
