Just outside of Rochester, Casa Larga Vineyards’ 35 acres of land is located atop one of the highest points in the area and, according to its owners, its rich Ontario sandy loam soil, brought here by glaciers at the end of the Ice Age, makes this vineyard one of the best places to grow grapes in the Finger Lakes.
This second-generation vineyard and winery produces 11 different varieties of grapes including Chardonnays, Rieslings, Gewürztraminers, Pinot Noirs, Merlots, Cabernet Francs, Cabernet Sauvignons, Vidals and others. The tasting room at Casa Larga is open year round for wine tastings, music and special events.
